Clare’s Minister of State is pledging to a deliver an investment programme that will benefit the county’s coastal communities.
Tulla Fianna Fáil Deputy Timmy Dooley has visited Killbegs Fishery Harbour Centre in Donegal this week for the first of several stakeholder engagements as Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine with special responsibility for Fisheries.
Ahead of the General Election, six fishing representative organisations called for eight actions to be implemented by the Government including a renogotiation of the Common Fisheries Policy and the safeguarding of fishing stocks.
Deputy Dooley says a scheme is on the way to make funding available for pier and slipway upgrades.
