Clare’s MEP has branded criticism of Spain as unfair in the wake of a meeting of EU Home Affairs Ministers on migration.
Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan convened the meeting centred on how best to protect European borders from illegal migration, after last week’s mass migrant crossing into Ceuta.

The Spanish enclave in northern Morocco saw an influx of tens of thousands of migrants, resulting in the deaths of 75 people.
