Gardaí in Clare responded to 230 calls for service over the Halloween weekend.
As part of Operation Tombola, the Garda Halloween policing programme, 150 phone calls relating to Halloween related activity, such as public order, fireworks, bonfires and criminal damage were received.

The operation ran from October 1st to November 2nd, with almost 1,500 calls for service recieved by Gardaí in that time.
Superintendent Susan O’Brien says it puts a serious strain on resources but the weekend went off peacefully.
