The first fully electric car to be sold in County Clare has taken to the roads.
The Nissan Leaf model, purchased in Dulick Motors, Ennis by Peter Moylan is the first fully electric car to be sold in the county, and is the only such car available in the country.
The new Nissan LEAF has the performance of a 1.6 litre petrol-engine, and can run for a distance of around 175km after a single overnight charge.
