A Clare farmer has had a lucky escape after being trampled by a cow.
Almost two weeks ago, Eddie Punch led a suckler cow which had calved eight days ago and its calf out to his field, before the mother turned and attacked him.

The Cratloe farmer and former ICSA General Secretary sustained extensive bruising, including to his ribs and required stitches to the back of the head following the incident.
Eddie’s told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that there’s always an element of risk on farms.
