Clare County Council have teamed up with Gardaí in a bid to crackdown on illegal dumping.
Earlier this month, 30 vehicles were examined during specially-established checkpoints, located close to regular illegal dumping black spots in East Clare.

No waste was found and Clare County Council says the response from the public was very positive.
Similar exercises will be planned over the coming months to help deter illegal dumping across the county.
