A cross party delegation of Clare Councillors is to seek a meeting with the Minister for the Environment and Transport over the roads allocation.

It follows a heated debate at the most recent meeting of the local authority.

16.8 million euro has been given to Clare County Council to cover the cost of roads for the year.

That's a six percent drop on 2013.

Senior Enginner Tom Tiernan says it's not enough.

While Fianna Fáil Cllr Cathal Crowe – who objected to the plan being adopted by public representatives – says it's just breadcrumbs.
