The Clare branch of Pieta House is urging people to choose ‘hope over silence’ during Christmas.
So far this month, the charity has been contacted by an estimated 1500 people, including over 600 under 18s, in one-to-one counselling services.
The service is expecting to receive over 230 calls and texts on Christmas Day alone.
