Clare Activist Says He Was Held At Gun Point By Israeli Forces

A Clare activist who says he was held at gun point by Israeli Forces claims the treatment of those onboard the Global Sumud Flotilla was brutal.

75 Year-Old Kilmaley resident Martin Guilfoyle was one of seven individuals captured by the IDF while sailing in international waters of the coast of Greece last week.

175 activists aiming to break the Israeli naval blockade to deliver aid to Gaza were detained in total, with the seven Irish citizens involved released on Friday.

Martin has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that he witnessed activists being assaulted, shot with plastic bullets and being left with broken bones.
