A resident of a Shannon apartment complex where serious defects have been identified claims locals are enduring endless sleepless nights due to ’empty’ government promises.
It follows reports that a full redress scheme will be introduced for homeowners of defective Celtic-Tiger era apartments by Autumn of 2024.
A previous inspection of the Brú Na Sionna complex identified 240 such properties with serious fire safety flaws, while its understood the relevant occupants will be compensated on a ‘worst comes first’ basis.
However, Spokeperson for the ‘Not Our Fault’ campaign, Brú Na Sionna resident Lorraine Carew claims the Housing Minister’s assurances aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.
