It’s claimed urgent road safety measures are needed in Quilty to futureproof the village ahead of completion of housing developments and an anticipated increase in tourist numbers.
TII have been called upon to carry out a review of proposed speed limit reductions, both in the village and its approach roads on the N67.

Plans are also in place for the construction of the first stage of the West Clare Railway Greenway.
Quilty Fianna Fail Councillor, Michael Shannon, says proper safety measures need to be in place when the project comes to fruition.
