It’s claimed the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark is punching well above its weight following the discovery of a 300 million year-old fossil.
The organic remains of the Horseshoe Crab were located near the Cliffs of Moher.

It’s the first discovery of such a fossil here in over a century.
Geologist for the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, Dr Eamon Doyle says it’s an incredible achievement for the region.
