The National Roads Authority is to be asked to repair a road in Cratloe which local representatives say was damaged by extra traffic during recent roadworks on the N18 dial carriageway.
This month’s meeting of Councillors from the Shannon Electoral Area will hear calls for the NRA to cover the cost of repairs to around 2 kilometers of Farmers Road between Ballymorris and Moyhill, Cratloe.
Locals say traffic diverting onto the route has led to potholes on the road, and even spot flooding due to subsidance.
Sixmilebridge Independent Councillor PJ Ryan says people in the area want the road repaired.
