An Ennis councillor is expressing anger at thieves who stole a collection bucket to target members of the public with fake charity fundraisers.
A blue bucket was stolen from the county town’s Darkness Into Light event last Saturday morning.

Reports have already been received that fake collections have been carried out around Ennis, Bunratty and Corofin.
Fine Gael’s Mary Howard, who’s a member of the oragnising committee of Darkness Into Light Ennis, is furious and is urging anyone who sees the perpetrators to call the Gardaí:
