The Clare Women’s Network claims more inter agency work is needed to curb the alarmingly high number of femicides in this country.
New figures contained in a Women’s Aid report show 230 women have been killed in Ireland since 1996, including 5 so far this year.

Over half were killed by a current or ex-boyfriend, husband or partner.
