Aer Lingus has poured cold water on calls to move some of the new long-haul routes at Dublin Airport to Shannon.

However, in response, the airline has told him that demand at Shannon Airport doesn’t meet its commercial criteria for expansion – but that it is regularly reviewed.
Cllr McMahon says he believes this is concerning for the future of the former flag carrier at Shannon.
