Advisory Notices Lifted At Spanish Point and Kilkee

Advisory notices for two beaches in West Clare have been lifted.

Advice not to swim was issued for Spanish Point on Wednesday and for Kilkee on Thursday following the detection of elevated levels of bacteria in routine inspections.

Now, following additional investigative sampling and on the advice of the HSE, Clare County Council has lifted the advisory notices for both beaches.

In accordance with An Taisce’s Blue Flag programme, Blue Flags are to be reinstated at both locations.
