54 On Trolleys At UHL Heading Into Christmas

Overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has reduced heading into the Christmas period.

54 people were on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick as of this morning according to the INMO, which is a significant drop from a high of 94 earlier this week.

UHL remains the most overcrowded facility in the country heading into the weekend.

 

360 people are waiting for beds at facilities nationwide today, with more than 1 in 7 of these waiting in Dooradoyle.
