30 searches have been carried out at premises across the Clare Garda Division in the first 11 days of this month, in an effort to stamp out the sale and supply of drugs in this county.
30 searches have been carried out at premises across the Clare Garda Division in the first 11 days of this month, in an effort to stamp out the sale and supply of drugs in this county.
These included 9 searches in Shannon, 7 in the Kilrush area, 4 in Newmarket on Fergus, 3 in Ennis, 2 in the Ballina area and 1 each in Corofin, Sixmilebridge, Lahinch and Kilkee.
The Head of the Clare Garda Division believes that while these searches resulted in small seizures of drugs and counterfeit goods, they will ultimately result in the prosecution of a number of people.
Chief Supintendent John Kerin says the figures show that Gardaí are acting on information provided to them by members of the public.
