The number of learner motorists caught driving unacommpanied in the Clare-Tipperary Garda Division has soared in the last year.
New figures show 395 drivers were prosecuted for the offence here in 2025, an annual increase of 22.7%.

The offence currently commands an immediate €160 fine along with two penalty points on a driver’s licence.
