There were nearly 12-thousand professional job vacancies in January – a 33 per cent increase on the previous month.
The Morgan McKinley monthly employment monitor also reveals that over half of these jobs are spread out across the country – rather than being concentrated in urban areas – as was the case in January last year.

The majority of opportunities are available in financial services and life sciences companies – with an increased demand for engineers in particular.
