The first ever fish fossils have been discovered in the Burren.
The unearthing of 330 million year-old fossil shark teeth has been marked at a celebratory event at the Burren National Park Information Centre.

The teeth belonged to a shark identified as psephodus magnus which had flat, robust dental plates for crushing prey such as shellfish.
Geologist for the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, Dr Eamon Doyle, is advising people to exercise caution if they find something they think may be of significance.
