Fresh calls are being made for the expedited development of Wastewater infrastructure in vulnerable communities in Clare.
Red flags have been erected at White Strand – Miltown Malbay & Spanish Point following the identification of high levels of bacteria in bathing samples at both locations.
Spanish Point is among the areas in the county not served by any treatment plant, while Uisce Eireann’s plans to upgrade the facility at Miltown Malbay won’t see investment until at least 2025.
