Catherine Minogue
Welcome to this week’s episode of Clare Women in Business on Clare FM.
Born in Scotland but living in Clare for almost 20 years Catherine Minogue always had a strong connection with the county.
Her mother is from Scarriff while her paternal grandmother was a Bodyke woman and her parents moved to Scotland when the recession hit in the early 80s.
Catherine visited Ireland regularly growing up but being in the country and on farms in Clare was a far cry from the town upbringing she had in Scotland where her mum and dad had their own retail businesses.
Catherine believes that growing up in a busy retail environment in Larnoch prepared her for running her own business.
She is a farmer and award winning pedigree Salers breeder based at Coolagoree near Feakle in East Clare.
