Morning Focus Thursday March 15

Over 120 key decision makers met with Clare officials in New York overnight at what’s described as a ‘significant’ event showcasing the county as an investment location
The event was organised by Clare County Council, and was hosted by Consul General of Ireland in New York, Cappa native Noel Kilkenny and you hear about it earlier this week when I spoke to Mayor of Clare Pta Hayes ahead of his trip to the state
Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen was also present for Clare County Council’s reception for US Business Leaders in New York last night as he’s visiting the states in his role as Chairman of the Government’s Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee – he spoke with John Cooke on Thursday’s Morning Focus.

We heard Part Two of John Cooke’s exclusive conversation at home with Ger Loughnane the  Former Clare Hurler and Legendary Hurling Manager and well known GAA Pundit & Hunting Enthusiast

Following huge reaction to yesterday’s extract in which Ger detailed his treatment from Leukemia and his response to false reports of his death, today’s second, and final instalment begins with the latest news Loughnane has had from his doctors and his outlook on life after retirement – and life after death – though he’s not sure whether there is such a thing
The former All Star Hurler – who lead Clare to All Ireland success in 1995 and 1997 also gives his views on the future of Clare Hurling – Davy Fitzgerald’s approach to management, the payment for managers issue in the GAA and his own plans for a new career.
