The country has voted No to abolishing the Seanad – by almost 52 per cent
While here in Clare it was a majority Yes vote from the electorate
There was a 38.6% turn out of people at polling stations on Friday
The overall result was close in Clare with 51.3% of voters ticking the yes box while 48.6% said no

Senator Martin Conway of Fine Gael joined him in studio and Joe Carey TD of Fine Gael, Deputy Timmy Dooley of Fianna Fail and Michael McNamara TD of the Labour Party joined him on the line.

Independent Senator David Norris welcomed the results of the weekend’s referendum
In the aftermath of that decision attention is now turning towards reform.

This is an honour which awards those who have made an exceptional contribution to radio in Ireland
Mr. O’Shea joins an elite group of radio personnel in the PPI Hall of Fame as he was joined by well known Broadcaster Joe Duffy and Voiceover artist Bill Golding at a ceremony in Dublin last Monday for the announcement of their achievement
Liam was a guest of honour at the 2013 PPI Radio Awards Presentation in Kilkenny on Friday where Clare FM were awarded in three categories for Best News Bulletin, Best Current Affairs Show and Best Specialist Music Show
Liam joined John in studio to speak about what this honour means to him and how the industry is doing.
