Temperatures In Clare Set To Hit Over 30 Degrees

Temperatures are forecast to hit over 30 degrees in Clare today, as the heatwave continues.

An extreme fire risk remains in place, with Clare County Fire Service echoing the call from the Department of Agriculture to avoid the use of fires, barbeques or other open ignition sources on forest lands and in other high risk areas.

It follows two fires at houses in Doolin and Scarriff, as well as a gorse fire at Woodcock Hill in Cratloe yesterday, the fourth time the fire brigade was called to the area in three days.
