Time for an issue which always seems to impassion listeners, litter.
Specifically, a recent study by IBAL (Irish Business Against Litter) showed Doolin Pier to be a litter blackspot. The group monitored more than 40 beaches, rivers and harbours around the country, with Lahinch and Kilkee also being highlighted as ‘littered’ and ‘moderatley littered’ respectively. Conor Horgan from IBAL spoke to Gavin about the results in more detail.
