Concerns Raised About New Junior Cert History Curriculum

Concerns have been raised about the new Junior Cert history curriculum, saying it is both too broad to cover in detail and also doesn’t allow a lower or higher level of learning and is unsuitable for Junior Cert.

Teachers are worried it might turn students off the subject in Leaving Cert.

Janet Woods, who teaches in Villiers School in Limerick, spoke to Gavin.
