Shannon Town Selected To Pioneer New Traffic Calming Measures

Shannon Town has been selected as one of just three areas in the country to pioneer new traffic calming measures.

A pilot scheme will be put in place along Bóthar na Rinne, which provides access to 350 homes in the Tradaree Court and Cluain Airne estates, along with a local secondary school and the Park Rangers Soccer Club.

The works, which will include narrowing the roads, installing on-street parking and signs and lines, will cost around €60,000 under the EU Cross-Border Exchange Directive.
