Water Tankers At Four Locations In Clare After Do Not Drink Notice Issued

It’s expected to be a number of days before a “Do Not Drink” Notice affecting customers of the county’s largest group water scheme.

Clare County Council and the HSE say operational problems at the Water Treatment Works are resulting in above recommended levels of aluminium and turbidity, which is a measure of the cloudiness in the water.

Tankered water will be available at four locations; Inch, Inagh, Kilmaley and Connolly and the public can fill water from those tankers themselves if they are unattended, but are advised to boil the water before use.
