US Vice President Mike Pence is due to touch down at Shannon Airport later, beginning a two day visit to Ireland.
Mr. Pence is to meet with the Taoiseach and President in Dublin tomorrow, but otherwise will be based in his ancestral home of Doonbeg in West Clare.
He will stay in the Trump Doonbeg resort, and security there is tight amid a €5 million security operation.
