The title of this film translates as Clueless in Ireland, and it will begin shooting in Kilkee on July 22nd.

It’s being made by an Irish production company, Treehouse Media, for one of Germany’s largest TV channels, ARD.

The production will be COVID-19 compliant, with strict safety measures in place, and those behind it say the seaside resort was chosen for its stunning scenery and ease of access to Shannon Airport.

It’s understood shooting will also take place at other locations in Clare.

This film is being supported by government tax incentives, which promotes the film industry in Ireland, and those behind it are hopeful that it will help deliver an economic benefit to the wider West Clare area.
