Ennis Haulier Warms Of Increase In Stowaway Migrants Without Extra Security

An Ennis haulier is warning that hundreds of stowaway migrants could come into Ireland next year on trailers and in containers, unless security is ramped up.

Eugene Drennan says this will put the lives of both migrants and drivers at risk and says it’s vital to put measures in place to ensure the protection of all parties.

It follows the most recent case last week, when eight man believed to be from Albania were found on a cargo ship from France to Waterford – they have since been deported.
