Morning Focus – Tuesday 12/09/17

The Tuesday edition of Morning Focus brought listeners a blend of news and views and met the mother-daughter team behind the award-winning Clonlara business I-SPY Clothing.

The show opened with a look at what happens next in the ongoing controversy surrounding An Garda Síochána. Gavin was joined on the line by Special Correspondent for the Irish Examiner. The show then heard from Clare’s most senior Garda, Chief Superintendent John Kerin who spoke with Clare FM’s James Mulhall.

CEO of Clare County Council Pat Dowling was Gavin’s next guest in a wide-ranging interview that touched on topics including housing and Blake’s Corner.

Poignantly, Morning Focus marked the first anniversary of the death of Caitríona Lucas. The Doolin Coast Guard lost her life year ago today while on a mission in Kilkee.

Gavin was joined on the line by Declan Geoghegan of the Irish Coastguard Service and we heard a special song written from Caitríona, entitled ‘No Greater Love’.
