Newmarket native Martin Brassil is celebrating this evening after training Longhouse Poet to capture this afternoon’s feature Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park.
The 9/1 shot was steered by Darragh O Keefe to victory over the 25 furlong trip, three quarters of a length ahead of the Willie Mullins-trained Franco de Port.
