Shannon's Chris Bryan has finished in 9th position in the 25km Open Water event at the European CHampionships in Berlin.

He finished the race in 5:12:40.1, and was less than four minutes off of a medal.
On Thursday, the 24-year-old finished in 16th position in his favoured 10km event, a distance that will be contested at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
