Richard Dunne is suspended so Darren O’Dea looks set to deputise in central defence.
Glenn Whelan is one yellow card away from suspension so Trapattoni could go with Keith Fahey in midfield to make sure Whelan is available for the next Tuesdays game with Armenia at the Aviva.
