Tries from Andrew Trimble, Jamie Heaslip and Rob Kearney helped Ireland to a 28 points to 6 win.
Ireland’s other points came from the boot of Johnny Sexton, while Greig Laidlaw scored two penalties for Scotland.
Jamie Heaslip put in a man of the match performance as Captain, after Paul O’Connell was ruled out before kick off with a chest infection.
Ireland take on Wales next Saturday at the Aviva Stadium in their next game.
