Clare’s Peter Duggan has been handed a one match ban as a result of his sending off against Cork in the National Hurling League.
The Clooney-Quin clubman was shown a straight red card for his challenge on Rebel goalkeeper Brion Saunderson during the second half of the loss last weekend.

It means Duggan will miss Clare’s final round tie against Tipperary in eight days time, but has the option of appealing the decision.
The GAA’s Central Hearings Committee also upheld the red cards shown to Tipperary’s Alan Tynan and Kilkenny’s Mikey Carey.
