Anthony Daly has dropped out of the race for the vacant position of Clare Senior Hurling Manager
The double All Ireland winning captain made the decision yesterday afternoon, stating he was withdrawing his name in the interest of unity within the county.
It means that Donal Moloney and Gerry O'Connor are now likely to be ratified as joint manager at next weeks board meeting.
It's understood Donal Og Cusack & Seanie McMahon are part of their backroom team
Meanwhile Davy Fitzgerald has been confirmed as the new Wexford manager on a three year deal
He takes up the position just over two weeks after stepping down from the Clare job.
