Doora Barefield’s Theresa Rosingrave informed Munster LGFA last evening that she was stepping away, along with secretary Caoimhe McMahon and fixtures secretary Marie Shannon.

It completes a week of controversy for the association in the county, with claims by the outgoing executive that Munster LGFA instructed that their reconvened July meeting should be cancelled, being denied by the provincial council.

An EGM will now be required to fill the vacant positions, with Clare’s preparations for the All Ireland Minor B final and the start of the upcoming club championships among the pressing matters.
