Clare GAA recorded an income of almost €3 million in 2023.
Accounts to be presented at tomorrow evenings annual Convention show the county board had a surplus of close to €270,000 this year.
The financial statements show that the overall income for the board this year stands at €2.96 million, an increase of almost €200,000 on last years figures.
That income does not include the proceeds from the 2023 Win A House In Ennis draw which is still in progress, with over €466,000 having being banked in the 2022 figures from the Win a House in Lahinch project.
All facets of income showed an increase this year, with gates receipts jumping over €200,000 to €878,000, while commercial income increased by close to €150,000 to €584,000.
The largest expenditure came in the form of the cost of running Clare’s intercounty teams, with that figure standing at €1.37 million, an increase of almost €276,000 on 2022.
Coaching and Development costs increased by close to €70,000 to just over €448,000,
The overall expenditure by the board in 2023 stands at just shy of €2.7 million, which is an increase of close to €612,000 on last years costs.
Accounts are also presented from both Supporters Clubs, with Club Clare providing funding of close to €187,000 to Clare’s hurling & camogie teams at all grades.
Over €118,000 of that total went to the senior and U20 teams, while just over €42,000 was distributed to the minor and development squads.
Schools and colleges got just over €12,000 from Club Clare with the Clare Camogie board receiving just over €14,000.
Clare’s Football Supporters Club gave close to €47,000 to football squads from underage to senior.
The largest sums were paid out for Development Squads gear (16,874) and Physio, Nutrition & other (€12,100).
