Clare’s minor ladies footballers have been crowned All Ireland champions.
Barry Donnelly’s side secured a 1-8 to 0-7 win over reigning champions Sligo in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence in Bekan, Co Mayo this afternoon.

The crucial score, a goal off the boot of Aoibheann Ryan, came just before the half time whistle to give Clare a 1-3 to 0-4 lead as the sides headed for the dressing room.
Clare FM analyst Evan Talty says Clare showed immense resilience to grind out the result in the closing stages.
