There is more good news for Clare hurling after Aidan McCarthy made his first competitive appearance of the year this weekend.
McCarthy has been recovering from a foot injury sustained late last year, but returned to action for his club Inagh-Kilnamona in their Clare Cup win over Cratloe.

Last year saw McCarthy among the nominees for the Young Hurler of the Year, and is expected that he will be in contention for a place in the matchday squad for the showdown with Kilkenny in two weeks time.
