On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Mike Hanrahan of Stockton’s Wing.
Mike has recently penned a song ‘A River Rolls On’, inspired by his mother and her journey with vascular dementia.
Performed by the Forget-Me-Nots Choir and other musical guests, downloads of the song from the choir’s bandcamp will generate monies for the Alzheimer’s Society Of Ireland.
However, on the day the song was released, Mike’s mother passed away – but not before hearing the song.
Mike told Alan about the importance of his work to raise awareness and funds for the ASI.
