Andrew Hogan, from Sixmilebridge, helped establish one of the world’s newest GAA clubs, Eire Og Fujairah.
It’s based in the United Arab Emirates, was set-up in August, and now has about forty players, including one other from Clare.
The club has also received a huge boost this week as they got the chance to meet the manager of the local professional soccer team… none other than Argentinian legend Diego Maradona.

Andrew was among a small group who recently attended a training session of Fajairah FC, and presented the footballing great with an Eire Og jersey.
