On Tuesday’s Morning Focus Alan Morrissey was joined by Shannon Native, Asha Murray.
Asha has been shortlisted for this year’s RDS Visual Art Awards.
The 2023 RDS Visual Art Awards Exhibition will be curated by Elaine Hoey and will run at the Irish Museum of Modern Art from the 8th of December until the 21st of January,2024.
Asha explained that she always had an interest for art in school and highlighted that her mother was also an art teacher.
She also mentioned that after the leaving cert she went on to study sculpture and combined media in the Limerick School of Art and Design.
Asha described the medium she uses for a lot of her art and spoke about the meaning and style of some of the artworks she has created.
