On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Professor Vincent Cunnane who is the President of the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest. Vincent discussed the Technological University of the Shannon’s strategic plan for 2023-2026 which is set to be launched today at TUS Moylish Campus. He described the aims of the plan and mentioned the way in which the staff and students of the university assisted in creating the plan. He highlighted the key areas that the plan focuses on and expressed the university’s desire to grow student numbers by 12%. Vincent placed emphasis on the role of the TUS campus situated in Ennis in reaching their goal while also calling on TD Eamon Ryan to open the second phase of the Limerick northern distributer road in order to bolster infrastructure in the region.
