New Report Highlights Suicide Risk For Middle Aged Men

A newly publicised report has revealed that men in Ireland are at a very high suicide risk.

The recent research shows that men are four times more likely to die by suicide than women with those aged between 45 and 54 most at risk.

A joint report from the Men’s Health Forum in Ireland and the HSE is calling for more gender specific services to support the mental health of middle aged men.

The study also highlights other at risk groups like gay men and farmers.
